If you thought our exploration of the lesser-known and the overlooked was limited to travel destinations, think again. We have ventured into the realm of music too, creating our very own soundtrack for Undiscovered America TV, capturing the essence and spirit of our journey into America's hidden gems.

This week, our host, David Downing exchanged his adventurer's hat for a musician's cap and stepped into the studio with his band to record the show's theme song—a track he wrote, arranged, and produced himself.

Downing's love for music and his passion for discovery beautifully intertwine in this composition, embodying the very ethos of Undiscovered America. The experience was made even more surreal when David's friend, the award-winning R&B vocalist Alex Harris, agreed to lend his melodic prowess to the title track. With his soul-stirring voice and captivating delivery, Harris added an extra layer of depth and emotion to the session. But the star-studded roster didn't end there. The recording also features industry veterans, including Bob Power on bass, Frank Abrami on drums, Wayne Pearson on reeds, and John Holt on guitar. Each one bringing their unique style and extensive experience to the recording, making the music resonate with a richness that is hard to ignore.

Heaps of gratitude to sound engineer and musical guru, Jim Gilmour, owner of Southview Arts studio. A former NBC Studio sound engineer, his expertise and guidance during the session were invaluable, helping us translate our vision into a melodious reality.

We are excited for the release of the song and its accompanying video and can't wait for you to hear the expression of our journey.

So, stay tuned – because this is going to be a tune you don't want to miss!
